"Boxing can make women more confident because women are perceived as more fragile in terms of shape or strength. But boxing is an excellent sport for women to participate in,” Chang said.

Akbas, who had to settle for the silver medal, looked to put the bout behind her and focus on the future.
"It wasn't my best fight,” admitted the silver medallist. “I was tired and my opponent was more active and more dynamic. But it's not bad.”
