Reddit stock falls for second day as references to its content in ChatGPT responses plummet

Reddit (RDDT) stock fell roughly 12% Wednesday, extending a decline from the previous trading session amid new data that showed the use of its content in leading AI chatbot ChatGPT had plummeted in mid-September.

Reddit content was cited in just 2% of ChatGPT responses on Tuesday, much lower than the 9.7% of ChatGPT responses that cited Reddit the previous month, according to data from AI search engine tracker Promptwatch. At its peak in September, Reddit was cited in more than 14% of ChatGPT answers.

“ Reddit has circumvented that threat of displacement by inking billion-dollar data licensing deals with ChatGPT maker OpenAI and Google to use its content for their AI models. Reddit has also launched its own AI search and advertising tools.”

So 掘地三尺 &一稿多投，这不就是商场开始自己的贴标，与代销品牌的放在同一货柜，简言之就是”利益的最大化“ 。

不过对REDDIT我一直感觉风气不好：只要一个反面意见=> downvote，那downvotes就回蜂拥而至，反之亦然，它的comments的推荐机制& ranking机制是火上浇油的机制，i.e. 是个激化矛盾& 见解极度baised/skewed的平台。

总而言之，我一直对AI持negative 展望。人类个体在网上分享真情实感，却沦为大数据的模型，在money-driven&政治洗脑机制下，人们束手就擒，随波逐流，最终被反噬 = 互相伤害/掠杀，那些在金字塔顶端的人，以为可以借助AI摄取更多的钱&权的控制权，不知道自己是金字塔的掘墓人。（它们也不在乎）

个人认为，人类这么多年了，需要与时俱进，需要新的哲学体系， i.e. 比科学更高一级的认知体系！
而这，在美国是不可实现的，也许可以在欧洲。它需要一个衣食无忧的大环境，freedom & liberal & democratic。。。也许像古罗马&古希腊时期那样/

人类现在，太需要再一个哲学的方兴未艾的“文艺复兴” 了。
