keep in mind GDX is a stock so if the market corrects, eventually GDX will go down too.
In a downtrend, gold will go down as well as people sell gold to meet margins and gold will be the most obvious thing that catches a bid.
Longer term, PMs should outperform and especially the miners, as the trumpsters (including the fed) engineers an asset bubble.

all fiats are going towards zero. bitcoin was 2024 and that didn't work to absorb the excessive $. gold is the real money. he who owns gold makes rules

silver is money too and will outperform gold during the catch up, even though central banks are not buying silver. if you want to leverage, buy the silver miners.
