The shooting happened around 2:15 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 21 in the 6800 block of Shore Terrace, just north of the 38th Street exit on I-465.
According to IMPD, six males and one female were shot in the incident. The two people who were shot and killed were adults.
Three of the victims are in critical condition. Police described the condition for the other two as "serious but stable."
Three of the victims were taken from the scene by ambulances. One victim went to the hospital on their own, while another went to a local fire department.
The shooting came less than three hours after a triple shooting Saturday night, Sept. 20 on the northwest side, near 56th Street and Georgetown Road. It's unclear if the shootings are related.
