There are also out of state or out of town voters.
1996 was the first time I was eligible to vote, but I didn't because I didn't know there was such thing as absentee ballot. I simply assumed that I had to go back to my permanent hometown to vote, so I had to skip it since my school is four hours drive from my home.

My nephew is a college freshman in MA now. Assume last year was 2024, so by election day, he would have been in MA only two and a half months. Should he vote in MA or should he fly back to CA to cast his vote if absentee ballots were not allowed?

But what if I want to vote in my home state? I am more concerned with the stuff in my hometown. My uncle is running for the board of education in my hometown, and I have to support him. They are voting for a bond to renovate the library and the city park, and they are also voting to increase the city tax, so I have to voice my opinion, blah blah...

I believe college students can register to vote in the state where they attend the school.

It depends on what you value more, to get more people vote or to make it more secured.

That’s called No-Excuse Absentee Voting. It increases the likelihood of fraud and delays the reporting of election results. I think it should be banned, sorry guys

but who says absentee ballots are necessarily fraudulent? People have been using them for decades. People have been using USPS for a long long time. We have sent many of our very important documents all the time. We send our tax files by mail for decades, and for most people, they are far more important than the ballots.

It depends on what you value more, to get more people vote or to make it more secured.

2020大选的时候，我排在队伍里排了3个小时才投上票，队伍里还有很多年纪很大的。
我希望选举公正，严格，谁输谁赢都没有关系，但是一定要公正，这是民主的基石。
