正常情况是一架C130带两架黑鹰进入救援。现场只出现一架黑鹰，说明另外一架黑鹰中途出现故障或者已经被击落。

到达现场的一架C130和一架黑鹰也没能再飞起来。美军不得不再出动另外一组三架飞机继续任务。
