XX,刚在听学区预算危机
你们难以置信,对特殊教育的孩子、我们学区有些要送到外区去教育、每个孩子每天光交通费是$400!
理由是特殊教育的孩子、或者有残疾的孩子,他们的车子是不一样的、要特殊装备, 每个校车只能载少数几个孩子去不同的特殊学校
家长没有义务送孩子、学校如果哪天有司机不能上班要摆脱家长自己送、那么学校要赔付家长的,这个费用也不低

way too much until one of your kids needs it...just saying...but I can understand where you are coming from.
“一个都不能少”应该是布什签署的法律吧。两党共识还能有啥可以抱怨的。
老牛想最大的result就是美国人民敢生。没有国家包底要是生了残疾儿童咋办。
学龄时期学区支出还是小头。那些需要照顾一辈子的才是大头。
说到底,他们都是生而美国公民。

Of course, your butts determine your position. That's true for most people.
I agree that we need to take care of them. I even agree that we can spend twice as much on them as on an average kid, but how much has been spent on them per student? Five times? Ten times? That's too egregious.

考古学普遍认为,有残疾人存在的社会,是文明社会。
记得刚出国的时候看过美国人写的中国游记,奇怪中国为什么没有残障措施。当时马上想到邓普方。这个特殊人物,为中国的文明进步是做了实事的。
至于学区现在拿Special education说事,原因在于:教育法里说要special education,但是各级政府没有拨足款。所以砍经费,先砍special education.
I was not saying not to take care of them, I meant money could be spent in more productive ways.
Why do we want to spend so much on them for almost no result? Why not use the money on them later to help them on something else?
