No, I did not cherry pick data. The data set includes all the states with highest AA% and all the states with lowest gun ownership and all the states with highest gun ownership among them.
MA's and NH's data tells that there are other factors, but it tells nothing about the relationship between gun ownership and homicide rates. You cannot use to to prove or disprove anything between gun ownership and homicide rates.
When there are at least two independent variables, you need to focus on one and keep the other constant to see how this variable affects the dependent. That's simple logic and math.

AA% is more important, so what? We are discussing guns here, not AA.
The data, post #56 in this thread, shows that when AA% is the same, both high at 31.9%, the states with much higher gun ownership has 50% higher homicide rates than the states with much lower gun ownership. This 50% extra homicide rate is worthy to try to keep gun ownership low, regardless is other factors are more or less important.

cherry picked data means nothing , other factor can affect result maybe hot and humid weather make people kill? different culture , why is MA and NH has similar murder rate , close by but very different gun control.

it is pointless to study a comparison with too many factors , as you want to keep other factor the same.
so gun vs gun murder rate will give better answer.
gun version murder rate is kind of bad way , too many factor , maybe is because murder rate is high then gun owner ship is high.

Bad place, some choose to have more guns, but more guns makes the place more dangerous. It's a bad loop.
However, you don't have to stay in the loop. There is a way out.
CA, NJ, MA and NY have most of the shithole cities in this country, but they chose to not go with more guns, and as a result, their overall crime rates are not that bad compared to US average. With so many shithole cities, you normally expect their overall crime rates to be much worse than those of US average.
