美国是联邦制， 改了直选以后人口少的洲就没什么话语权了。
Mainland China can do that in matter of minutes by counting how many hands are raised, so time does not indicate anything about democracy.
I am against abandoning absentee votes.
What if you are in college in another state? What if you are in the military stationed oversea? What if you are studying abroad? What if you get a bad flu on the day of election?
I myself have been using absentee ballots for more than twenty years.
差距很大不用点完票就能宣布冻算。就像加州，票站一关闭媒体就宣布民主党赢得加州。票都不用开。
差距太小的每一票都要点清楚的就会很慢。
差距太大，数到一半就可以宣布结果了。
