Oildale has a lot of oil pumps. Bakersfield itself probably does not have as many as Oildale, but for many, Oildale is part of Bakersfield.

What did you do for living in Bakersfield？I heard it is not a safe city

I was still at high school at that time.
It was kind of safe at that time, 30 years ago.
