Japan is urging its citizens not to panic-buy toilet paper, amid concerns some people have unnecessarily started to stockpile because of the Iran war.
Japan's Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry put out a statement assuring people there was no issue with supply and no need to stock up, despite "reports and social media posts regarding the distribution of toilet paper".
"We ask that the public make calm and rational decisions regarding the purchase of toilet paper based on accurate information," it said.
