套路也要优美的文笔，想象力，知识面

想要AO短短几分钟留下深刻印象，essay十分重要。
入学两年后可以查看自己的录取档案，AO评语对我孩子的essay非常喜欢， 对录取非常有帮助。

If your kid is bad at writing, hiring a professional consultant will help to improve. But can’t be just polish the essay, need at least half year essay writing training.

写文章要立意，但也是差不多的思路

确实， 哪怕有病句，文采一般，只要立意新颖，言之有物，AO就会被吸引。

Scientific writing always have three parts:
Statement, details, conclusion.

Essays can have other types. I had 2 years English writing training at my first job. Creative writing does need talent. Scientific writing only needs logics.

不完全对，如果只是别人给你课题，你做一做发文章是这样，但是进一步，你为啥要做这个课题？
其实在国内的科技论文写作训练里是强调怎么写可以发好文章，让工作看这更重要，但是美国好像不是所有人都谈这个，这个其实也是立意
