特殊教育的这点钱，就不要有意见了

是的，钱花在特殊教育上，总比养懒汉强。养个正常孩子家长都累得吐血，难以想象那些有残疾或者智力缺陷儿童的家庭是怎么过的。
刚来美国时，总是奇怪为什么美国残疾人这么多，那时还颇以祖国残疾人少而自豪。后来才明白，不是美国残疾人多，而是美国残疾人不受歧视，有机会出门，可以参加各种活动，国内的残疾人，特别是智力有缺陷的，都被家长锁在家里，外人见不到而已。
小学时班上有个残疾同学，我们几个背他上下学背了两年。上初中离家远了，我们背不了了，父母又不能接送，他只得辍学了，也不知现在怎么样了。那个孩子还挺聪明的，只是腿残疾，在美国，大学也上的了。

Also in these days, they also emphasize on immersion--putting special ed students in regular classes with regular students. They also have teacher aides following these special students from period to period, sometimes on a one-on-one basis.

有一些是的。那些更严重一点的，不能上普通学校。
